Every other Sunday, the Elliott Chapter at Washington State University carpools out to Orphan Acres, a horse rescue facility in Viola, Idaho. While there, we participated in regular feeding, grooming, health care, and blanket checking for the horses. We also got a chance to groom and walk three blind horses. This activity benefits the 85 rescued horses at this facility, while helping the owner, Brent, keep up with the work he would otherwise be doing himself.
