On April 5, members of
Alpha Zeta Partners were invited to attend the annual Professional Development
Night, sponsored by the College
of Food, Agricultural,
and Environmental Sciences Student Council. The goal of the evening was to develop
students’ professional skills, with emphasis on etiquette and professionalism.
Dinner was provided and dress was business professional. This year, the evening
was taken back to an instructional etiquette dinner. Jennifer Pelletierre from
the Ohio Union was the speaker and she shared with the students all the proper
ways of presenting themselves in professional settings. She also answered all
the students’ questions and personally assisted participants. The Townshend
Chapter benefited by learning the in's and out's of professional etiquette
during a business lunch and dinner. Since Alpha Zeta Partners encourages its
members to further develop themselves on a professional level, they chose to
participate. Tickets were sold during their meeting to help coordinate the event
within AZP.
