On Wednesday, April 14th, Active Brothers in the North Carolina Chapter of Alpha Zeta joined a panel of Elanco Animal Health representatives to learn more about the Elanco company, the animal health industry, and opportunities in the industry. Elanco is a global company that provides service and products that relate to animal health, which includes both food animals and pets. Panelists included Dr. Kimberly H. Chappell, Dr. Valerie Marcano, Mr. Doug Sullivan, and Mr. Oliver W. Wilson. Three of the four panelists were even Alpha Zeta Alumni! Dr. Kimberly is an alumni from NC State University, Dr. Valerie Marcano is an alumni from Cornell University, and Mr. Doug Sullivan is an alumni from the University of Kentucky. Each of them holds different positions in the company and shared their background and experiences. They expressed that the best part of working in the animal health industry is the passion of the people they get to work with and the wide variety of opportunities within the industry. A big thank you to Dr. Kimberly Chappell for reaching out to us about presenting to the Brotherhood. The discussion our Brotherhood got to have with her and her colleagues was a great way to gain insight on career opportunities in agriculture.
