This Spring, the North Carolina Chapter of Alpha Zeta welcomed nine new brothers into the
fraternity. Starting with virtual rush and interview processes, the Brotherhood learned a lot
about the new brothers, their interests in agriculture and more about why they want to join
Alpha Zeta. With COVID-19 precautions in mind, the Brotherhood headed to Brother Barber’s
farm in Bladen County for a quick trip where the new brothers met the rest of the Brotherhood
and learned more about our fraternity. The next morning, the Brotherhood met in Raleigh to
participate in an Adopt-A-Highway service project on Trinity Road. With the addition of a virtual
alumni meet and greet, new Brothers made connections in agriculture all across the United
States. After many ceremonies and events throughout the week, we are more than thrilled to
welcome our new brothers into our Chapter! With Ag-Awareness week just around the corner,
they’ll be hitting the ground running! Thank you to Censor Cowles for working tirelessly to
make sure this week was safe as well as memorable for the entire Brotherhood.

A Big Welcome and Congratulations to our New Brothers: Brother Isabelle Gent, Brother Lexi
Ezzell, Brother Brandon Horton, Brother Zachary Keeter, Brother Joseph Foy, Brother Jordan
Peeler, Brother Virginia Kackley, Brother Jacob Hinson and Brother Sydney Schmalzreid. Go
Pack!!
