The theme of the 182nd Annual Meeting
of the New York Agricultural Society and Agricultural Forum was "The Next
Generation of Agriculturalists: Millennials’ Perspectives on Their Future of
Agriculture.” To get more youth involved in the forum, the New York Ag Society
Foundation offered scholarships to 10 students pursuing agricultural related
degrees. Three of those scholarships were awarded to Cornell Alpha Zeta members: Andrew
Gardinier ’14, Emmaline Long ’12 and Sara Orlowski ’14. By receiving a
scholarship, the three members attended the Witter Ag Museum presentation on
January 9th as well as the forum held on January 10th.
Also with the scholarships, the members received a yearlong membership in
the Ag Society. We are very proud of Andrew, Emma and Sara for being part of the inaugural class!
