Starting at 6:00 on April 25th before our last meeting of the semester, we all joined outside Weaver Shop for a potluck.  Each brother brought a covered dish to share with everyone.  We had everything from cheesy mashed potatoes, homemade macaroni, and Bojangles’ chicken.  Many brothers contributed tasty desserts as well, such as mode and sky blue AZ cupcakes. There were 60 brothers, 3 alumni, and 2 advisors in attendance.  It was a great time to relax before the beginning of final exams and a great opportunity to fellowship with those graduating in May.

After the meeting, we began our traditional candlelight ceremony. As a candle is passed around the circle in the dark, brothers share their favorite memories of Alpha Zeta and it is a very special time for seniors. Brothers thank the seniors for their impacts on the brotherhood, and then each of the seniors shares their thoughts and advice for the future. The Chancellor starts and ends the circle, and the graduating seniors are at the end. The ceremony is always emotional and meaningful as the chapter said good-bye to fifteen amazing seniors who each have very bright futures ahead of them.
