Over the past four weeks, Class 19 from The Townshend Chapter has been studying abroad in Brazil. As a part of this chapter’s first year program all students participate in a series of four seminars to further develop their leadership skills and the third seminar is a six week study abroad in Brazil.
In Brazil, students study at The University of São Paulo, Luiz de Queiroz College of Agriculture, where they take classes in sociology, agricultural economics, history, and environmental economics. In addition to that, they visit production facilities, research centers, farms, and agribusinesses. And when they are not learning, they’re having fun with activities such as white water rafting or home stays with different Brazilian families! This group has approximately two weeks left in Brazil and we’re very excited that we’ll get to see them again soon!
