During the Fall 2015 Semester Finals Week, our chapter encouraged and uplifted students in the College of Food, Agricultural and Environmental Sciences by passing out “goodie bags” to students, professors and faculty members who were preparing for finals week. Our chapter understands the high stress that many feel during examination week, so approximately 100 baggies were packed with study essentials to keep students’ (and professors’) minds sharp. The bags included treats such as granola bars, bubble gum, chocolate, fruit snacks, and more. This was a very inexpensive activity to perform; however the impact to our fellow students was immense and we were able to brighten many students’ days. By being stationed directly inside the doors of our Administration building and library, many students passed by, and even if they did not take a bag, they often engaged in conversation about who AZP was and thanked us for thinking of them.

This was such a good idea! What a good way to get the word out about AZ while helping out fellow students! Thank you for sharing such an inexpensive way other Chapters can be more active in the CALS community.
