Yesterday’s meeting was a full house! The Cal Epsilon Chapter not only met and welcomed 11 potential members but covered important chapter business as well.
Our chapter is working and planning on participating in Vintage Days, which is the largest student-planned celebration attracting over 50,000 community members to Fresno State’s campus beginning April 20-22, 2018. We’re excited to see what our creative committee members come up with, as there will be a ‘best food’ competition!
Alpha Zeta Gala was another topic discussed at the meeting. We can’t wait to see what the theme will be, as it will be announced in the next couple of months. The Alpha Zeta Gala committee was excited to announce that the event will be held on May 4, 2018.
We have plenty of volunteer opportunities coming up such as Ag Day, which will be held at Fresno Chaffee Zoo on March 24, 2018. Ag Day will offer a chance for the community to learn more about agriculture in the Central Valley and beyond while being in a fun-filled, family-friendly environment!
FFA Field Day was another volunteer opportunity discussed at the meeting. Our chapter plans to assist the Fresno State Plant Science Department with 10 plant science competitions to be held on April 21, 2018.
Last, but certainly not least, our active members had the opportunity to meet 11 potential members! Members and initiates introduced themselves and chatted throughout the evening. We’re so excited to have all 11 initiates on board!
We may have a lot going on, but we’re excited to see what Cal Epsilon will have accomplished when our next meeting comes around.
