On Monday the North Carolina Chapter of Alpha Zeta was invited to work on a service project in conjunction with the North Carolina State University chapter of Sigma Alpha. The service project was out at our university’s Swine Educational Unit where both groups worked together to clean up the facilities. We moved old chairs from the classroom to the storage building. We also helped clean the floors and some carts in one of the buildings, as well as washed down the sides of the halls to help make it easier for the staff at the swine unit to apply fly repellant. With everyone working together and working hard we were able to get everything done in about an hour. It was a blast being able to work with another agricultural organization on campus to help better our university. Hopefully there will be plenty more opportunities in the future to work with Sigma Alpha, and other agricultural organizations on campus, with various service projects.
