On Saturday, February 18th, the North
Carolina chapter had the great privilege to continue a re-occurring service
project of preparing a lovely meal for the local heroes at Fire Station 20 in
Raleigh, NC. The Brother’s enjoyed a time of bonding at a Brother’s apartment making
Mexican chicken with chips, salad, and brownies before then taking the
delicious food to the nearby fire station. The firefighters were incredibly
grateful for the food. They even invited us to stay and dine with them. After
eating the delicious food and having great conversation chatting about
agriculture and whatnot, we said goodbye and ensured them that we would be back
with more delicious food another time. We know that these firemen are grateful
that we are willing to take time out of our Saturday evenings to cook and bring
them these many different delicious meals. We are so thankful for the
opportunity to serve these heroes that keep our community safe by sacrificing
their lives everyday out of the kindness of their hearts.
