Rush events are always fun because they provide brothers an opportunity to speak with potential new members and explain why they personally love AZ. However, one event each Rush semester is needed to give more detailed information to these rushes so that they are aware of exactly what AZ is and what it represents. Everyone dresses business casual and the night begins with an information session held by the Censor and Sergeant. They explain the history of AZ, the events we are involved in or host, our service goals for the semester and other relevant information about the new member process. After this, the new members get to meet the whole brotherhood through five rounds of ice breakers such two truths and a lie, the beach ball game, the human knot and so on. The night ends with a game of trainwreck or "the blob,” which everyone enjoys because of the active nature of the game, and a wish to see all the new attendees at the official first new member meeting. It is a wonderful, informative rush event that has proven very effective every year and this year is no different. The new members that came out on February 6th, 2013 from 7:30-10:30 seemed genuinely interested in becoming new members and we are excited to see the outcome.
