Starting at 6:00 pm on November 28
th before our last meeting of the semester, twelve brothers of the North Carolina Chapter sat down for dinner at Sammy’s Grill in Raleigh. It was a great time to enjoy fellowship with those graduating in December.
After the meeting, we began our traditional candlelight ceremony. As a candle is passed around the circle in the dark, brothers share their favorite memories of Alpha Zeta and it is a very special time for seniors. Brothers thank the seniors for their impacts on the brotherhood, and then each of the seniors shares their thoughts or advice for the future. The Chancellor starts and ends the circle, and the graduating seniors are at the end. Twenty active brothers and alumni participated. The ceremony is always emotional and meaningful as the chapter said good-bye to eight amazing seniors who each have very bright futures ahead of them.
