Members of the Florida chapter headed to the O’Connell Center, the Odome as students call it, on campus to cheer on their UF Gator gymnasts as they face the LSU Tigers. The gymnastics meet was not like any other it was this years Link to Pink meet. Breast cancer awareness and support was the emanating theme of the meet. Gymnasts sporting pink leotards and pink all over the fans helped show our support to the survivors who were in attendance at the meet. Susan G. Komen had representatives at the meet entrances with a table of information and the chance for each of us to help out in what ever way we could. The meet was a great time for our members to relax after a long week of rush events and hear the story of one brave woman but see many brave women sitting amongst us in the crowd. The Girl Scouts in the area came and helped out with the flag ceremony and the meet was nearly flawless. The Gators pulled through winning nearly every event and scoring the highest team score so far this season! Members enjoyed their time together and even headed out for some dinner after the meet.
