On November 7th, 2018, brothers of the North Carolina Chapter performed an Adopt-A-Highway service project. The North Carolina Department of Transportation began this program in 1988 in response to the growing concern of litter on the side of North Carolina highways. Litter has very negative effects on the environment including water contamination, fire hazards, harm to wildlife, and many more. So, to do our part in cleaning up the community, we traveled to our section of adopted highway- a 3 mile stretch of a road in Apex, NC- and worked together to clean it up! We bonded as a brotherhood, and did our best to contribute to increasing the aesthetic value and health of North Carolina. This was an amazing opportunity to strengthen our friendships while giving back and improving our community.
