Each year, Chico State hosts an event called Ag Day at the Univeristy Farm. This is an educational day for local kindergarten programs to attend and learn hands on about agriculture. Many other clubs were also in attendance hosting activities such as roping demonstations, seed germination activities, cattle branding information, and a stock dog demonstration.  Alpha Zeta participated by teaching students how the milking process works at our organic dairy and allowing the kids to make butter from heavy whipping cream. This involved each child getting a plastic container with heavy whipping cream and vigirously shaking until butter was formed and tasting it with a cracker. The kids had so much fun creating something they could eat and were excited to learn agriculture.
