The Townshend Chapter at The Ohio State University (OSU) hosted their first alumni dinner on November 7th. Current members and alumni began the night with activities to get to know each other before proceeding to engage in conversation over a spaghetti dinner. It was a great opportunity for students to share about what they are currently engaging in on campus and for alumni to share stories from their collegiate experiences and time in Alpha Zeta.
One of our members, Ellyse Shafer, had dinner with Mike and Cathy Pullins. Mike was a member of Alpha Zeta and their oldest son was the first Chancellor when Alpha Zeta was reestablished as Alpha Zeta Partners at OSU. In addition to that, their younger son was the President of the Alpha Tau Zeta Chapter of Farmhouse Fraternity at OSU. Ellyse, a junior studying Agriscience Education, had this to say about the experience:
"It was so cool to sit down and talk with some of the masterminds who have helped shape Alpha Zeta and its reestablishment as Alpha Zeta Partners here at OSU. I really enjoyed hearing their stories about how different OSU’s campus life was, and their advice for college and life. I hope they are proud of the organization they helped form, and of what our AZP members are accomplishing today!"
The Townshend Chapter is very thankful for Sarah Schuster, the Alumni Chair, and her committee for organizing this fantastic event!
