One of the major factors
of Alpha Zeta that plays into our four pillars (scholarship, leadership,
character, and fellowship) is giving back to the community. For the most part
that is done through volunteering and community service. This past semester the
Cal Epsilon Chapter was able to volunteer our time to help out at three
different events. In October members helped with a local Trunk or Treat at a local church, by
manning the face painting station. On Veteran’s Day, November 11th, AZ
brothers helped usher at Veteran's Memorial Hall
Celebration and got the opportunity to speak with many of our local veterans. Within the next few days Cal Epsilon was back in action to help
with some gardening at the Fresno State Horticulture Department. For our December formal meeting the members brought toys for
our holiday toy drive and helped write letters to soldiers serving overseas. These toys were then donated to families that may not
have been able to have presents under their trees otherwise. At the same
meeting we wrote letters soldiers serving overseas during the holiday season. The Alpha Zeta Cl Epsilon Chapter is looking forward to more volunteer opportunities in the future.
