his past weekend the Florida chapter participated in Relay for Life located at the University of Florida. Over the past year, our chapter has been consistently fundraising for this event. We have done many fundraisers, big and small, from our annual Rose sale during Valentine's day to concessions at varsity sporting events. It was very rewarding to see how all our hard efforts paid off! We were incredibly happy with the amount of money we raised and the chapter's participation in the actual event and all the events leading up to it. We ha almost 100% attendance at the actual event! We decided to embrace our ag pride with the theme of our site at Relay as "Country Games." We had corn hole, a bottle toss, and redneck golf. We also received donations from multiple local food chains to supply breakfast supplies to all the famished "Relay-ers" once morning hit. This event was such a great way for the Florida chapter to give back to our community, but to also get to know each other even better in a fun and humbling environment. We are excited to continue this tradition next year with an even higher goal for our fundraising!
