NC CORRAL Service Project

The North Carolina Chapter completed its first service project of the new year. Last weekend, we met at CORRAL Riding Academy. CORRAL is a non-profit organization that helps at-risk girls by providing riding lessons, therapy, tutoring, and bonding experiences with horses. The North Carolina Chapter participated in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS) College Connections event yesterday. At NCSU, Wolfpack Welcome Week is an annual week where students can meet new friends, experience campus life, and learn about clubs and organizations. Each year, CALS hosts a College Connections event during this week, and Alpha Zeta participates in the Club Fair. On January 18th, nine brothers of the North Carolina Chapter attended a service event at the GCF Farm Center located in Durham, NC. We helped to harvest about 1,200 pounds of collard greens that will feed about 2,400 people.  After the service event they gave us a tour of the farm.  The GCF Farm Center is a part of the Goodwill Corporation of Eastern North Carolina. On February 22nd attended a service at an equine facility called CORRAL in Cary, North Carolina. Brothers started the day with a farm tour where the founders told us more about the history of the organization. The Friday after Roundtable, all brothers and new members are asked to attend an overnight retreat at Roanoke Christian Service Camp. NC goes to Adventure Landing

On Friday February 21st brothers of the North Carolina Chapter attended Adventure Landing. Adventure Landing has may fun attractions such as mini golf, an arcade, laser tag, go karts, and batting cages. This social event was attended by BLANK brothers. Everyone had a great time! These social activities allow brothers to bond in fellowship and get out a little friendly competition between Alphas and Zetas. Everyone like this activity so much they plan to go again sometime soon.
