Meet the 2015-2017 High Council


 High Chancellor, Jackie Mundt

Jackie is a proud alumni of the California Epsilon Chapter at California State University, Fresno. Since completing a BS in Agricultural Communications in 2009 she has been employed by Dow AgroSciences in several roles including Sales Representative, Brand Implementation Specialist and her current role of Technical Products, Product Manager.
 
Jackie's passion for agriculture was instilled at an early age on her families' dairy farm in Wisconsin. Her later involvement in organizations like 4-H and FFA created a passion for leadership and service that have carried over into her involvement with Alpha Zeta. Jackie has served on the National Alpha Zeta Board of Directors since 2009 and was elected to the Fraternity High Council in 2013.

 High Censor, Emily Davidson

Emily is a founding member of AZ Cal-Eta from California State University, Chico. As an Agriculture Business major with a focus in dairies, she became a cheese-maker for Cowgirl Creamery in Point Reyes Station, CA. Now residing in Portland, OR, she is the Director of Sales & Marketing at Ancient Heritage Dairy.

Since joining AZ back in 2005, she has been to 7 of the last 10 NALC conferences as a student, alumni and High Council member. She volunteered in all three hurricane Katrina and Rita work-trips from 2005 through 2007 in Louisiana, and hurricane Ike in 2008 in Texas. These trips hold her most memorable AZ experiences. She was elected to the High Council in 2007 and again in 2013. As a member of the High Council, she wants to continue encouraging disaster-relief work-trips that take students to areas in need.

High Scribe, Chris Castellano
Chris works as a research support specialist for the Northeast Regional Climate Center in Ithaca, N.Y.. He received his B.S. in Atmospheric Science from Cornell University and his M.S. in Atmospheric Science from the University at Albany, SUNY. Chris joined Alpha Zeta as an undergraduate student and served as Pledge Master, Philanthropy Chair, and a member of the CALS Charitable Trust Student Scholarship Committee. Since graduating from Cornell, he has remained actively involved with Alpha Zeta on both the chapter level and the national level.

High Treasurer, David Headley

David Headley, MBA currently serves on the Vision Trust Food Security team commissioned to find sustainable feeding solutions for impoverished children in 16 countries. He has been blessed to have traveled to and/or worked on agriculture projects in over 70 countries, mainly in sub-Saharan Africa and Southeast Asia. Through those opportunities he has gained a unique perspective on global poverty and food insecurity, and seen the ripple effect on low-income small scale farmers. Additionally, David works with trade team logistics for the Illinois Soybean Association. Due to this experience and knowledge, he has had several letters and blog spots published, including one in the Wall Street Journal. David is a graduate of North Carolina State University as well as University of Illinois.

Student Representative, Jorge Mendoza
Jorge Mendoza is currently a California Eta Chapter Member at California State University, Chico. He is currently pursuing his B.S. in Animal Science while minoring in Agricultural Business.  He became a member in Spring 2013 and served as Chancellor that following academic year. 

He is currently pursuing veterinary school where he hopes to become a large animal veterinarian with an emphasis on beef/dairy production.  He is currently one of two chemistry tutors for his College of Agriculture and also works at a dairy in his hometown of Willows, CA. He is a member of his local Young Farmers and Ranchers organization along with Young Cattlemen’s Association.  Since joining Alpha Zeta, Jorge has attended the last two NALCs and hopes to continue his involvement at the national level.
